Split product variants into separate Shopify products

If your product has more than one variant, then you can split the product variants into separate Shopify products. You might want to split your product variants into separate products in the following scenarios:

• If a product has variants with different designs, such as T-shirts.

• If a product is a set of different products such as a ring, bracelet, and necklace.

• If a product has more than 100 variants. You can import a product that has a maximum of 100 variants to your Shopify admin.

Steps:

1. Add a productto theImport List.

2. From your Oberlo admin, clickImport List.

3. In the section of the product that you want to split, clickACTIONS>Split Product.

4. Choose how you want to split your product:

   1. If you want to split your product by a variant option such as color or size, then select an option in theSplit by:section and then clickSPLIT TO X PRODUCTS. For example, if you split a product by the size option that has S, M, and L variants, then you create three different products for each variant option.

   2. If you want to split your product by specific variants, then clickSplit manually, select the product variants you want to split, and then clickSPLIT PRODUCT.

Products that are split disable the variants that are split from that product. TheVariantsection will have the same number of variants listed, but the removed variants are disabled. You can toggle variants to enable them at any time.
